My Journey: From Office Administration to Virtual Assistance
With over three decades of experience in office administration and virtual assistance, my career has been a journey of continuous growth, adaptation, and mastery of new technologies.
The Early Years
My professional journey began in traditional office settings, where I honed my skills in various industries, including construction and healthcare. These early experiences laid the foundation for my expertise in office administration, teaching me the importance of attention to detail, efficient organization, and clear communication.
During my time at a construction company, I took on the role of Office Administrator and Assistant to the Manager. This position allowed me to showcase my ability to streamline operations, implement new systems, and maintain smooth workflows. I developed a comprehensive Procedures Manual for Office Administration, managed inventory systems, and coordinated administrative functions across multiple construction project sites.
Embracing the Digital Age
As technology evolved, so did my skill set. I recognized the growing importance of computer proficiency in the modern workplace and dedicated myself to mastering various software applications. My toolkit expanded to include the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and specialized software like Adobe Pro and Adobe Photoshop Elements, Canva and AI.
The Transition to Virtual Assistance
In 2006, I took a bold step into the world of virtual assistance, leveraging my years of office experience and newfound technical skills. This transition allowed me to offer my expertise to a wider range of clients, all while working remotely.
As a virtual assistant, I’ve had the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from document creation and editing to website development. I’ve helped clients transform their ideas into polished, professional documents, and assisted businesses in establishing their online presence through website creation using platforms like WordPress, Elementor, Divi, RankMath.

Throughout my career, I’ve remained committed to staying at the forefront of office technology. I’ve consistently expanded my skill set, learning new tools and techniques to better serve my clients. From mastering eCommerce platforms to becoming proficient in SEO optimization with tools like RankMath, I’ve always embraced new challenges.
